Vietnamese dumplings in SaiGon

Vietnamese dumplings include two main kinds, one with stuffing and the other kind which if of fully fine wheat flour with no stuffing. A dumpling is worth about 40 to 75 cents – quite budget yet probably what you need for a breakfast.

Dumplings are usually put in a mobile stall (like banh mi stalls) to be carried around and are popularly available throughout the streets of Sai Gon.

Dumplings should be eaten while still hot, since their covers which are made of wheat flour easily get hard and tough, making them not as much tasty as the hot ones. The stuffing kinds of dumplings are quite various, including chopped pork, shumai, quail eggs and salted duck eggs.
