The lake is so beautiful that it is compared to a “sleeping beauty” – a mountain girl sleeping under the pine trees.
Dan Kia Lake is located 12 kilometers distant from Dalat center in northern direction. It was the original place where in 1893, doctor A.Yersin stopped by and had a crush over the beauty of Langbian Highlands; later on he decided to establish a resting station at the lake area which can be consider as the birthplace of Dalat. Having such a rich history but the lake has just been used as a tourist destination for a while now. The lake is so beautiful that it is compared to a “sleeping beauty” – a mountain girl sleeping under the pine trees. There is a waterfall located below the lake which is called “7-floor Waterfall”. During rainy season, the waterfall contains a great amount of water, looks very beautiful.
Currently, the lake includes no tourist services. If interested in visiting the lake, you must have food prepared at home and better not stay in during the night.
